When our faces are animated by our expressions, including frowns, surprise, and smiles, we develop forehead lines, brow furrows, crow’s feet, and bunny lines (the vertical lines across the bridge of the nose). To combat this, BOTOX® & Dysport® temporarily paralyzes the corrugator, procerus, and orbicularis oculi muscles, all of which are responsible for horizontal surprise lines on the forehead, deep furrows—sometimes called “elevens”—between the brows, and crow’s feet. BOTOX® & Dysport® are also the only effective treatment for excessive sweating, called hyperhidrosis. BOTOX® & Dysport® injections can temporarily relieve hyperhidrosis by blocking the nerve signals that trigger the sweat glands, so severe sweating is no longer an issue.
